Ever woken up and felt like a zombie? This zombie feels like that...
Walk around your graveyard, kill enemies and upgrade yourself by attaching their bones to yourself. Careful! If your bones break you lose all the attached limbs! Make sure to use milk to strengthen yourself and your bones.

Theme of the Jam: Fractured
As the first day of the jam started at 8pm, we decided to spend that whole evening brainstorming and planning. Using concentric design principles, we made sure the main mechanic and loop felt fun and would be expandable if we had any time left over. 

All members of the team used the crazy 8 brainstorming technique to come up with some game ideas. After some heated voting rounds, we settled for a vampire survivors-like game with the following twists: you can infinitely increase your range and damage by attaching enemies bones onto yourself and can heal yourself and these limbs using milk. It felt natural that the player should be a zombie with regrowing flesh and the enemies skeletons to fit this mechanic.
Apart from the set dressing and pumpkin, which were made by Jente Aerts, I made all of the assets and animations from scratch during the game jam (52 hours). It had been a while since I did pixel animation, and I'm super happy with what I was able to achieve during the short time we had. I tried going for a more dark & cool vibe but in the end it turned out goofy and cute anyways (it's my eternal curse).
