Made during Xbox Game Camp Belgium 2026
"Strobbery" is an asymmetrical co-op game where you play as two raccoons infiltrating the wasteful Big Evil Strawberry Corporation (TM) to reclaim strawberries for the locals!
Art team:
- Trisha Lui
- Andrei Sorin Neacsu
- Kasra Foroutan
- Nore Pollentier
Dev team:
- Robin Vermeulen
- Seb Van Looveren
I contributed to the programming of the game and did the rigging and skinning for all the characters. I also made the animated intro and outro cutscene and edited the final trailer.
Since it was the first game jam for the art team members, I helped guide them on the scope and coherence of the game and took charge of the game design together with the other IGP'ers, Seb and Robin.
During the game, the top raccoon, Bob, is in charge of looking out for the manager bots and completing tasks. The bottom raccoon, Rob, is in charge of walking around and stealthily grabbing strawberries from the bushes to stash in their coat. Work together as a team to get as many strawberries as possible before the work shift ends, and most importantly, don't get caught! How many days can you last before getting fired?
The game is a commentary on global food systems, where fruit gets shipped across the world for profit and imperfect products get mindlessly wasted. All while the people growing it can still face food insecurity. But above all it's just a fun stealth game!
This game was made for the Microsoft Xbox Game Camp Belgium 2026 Game Jam in collaboration with Howest DAE, Roots & Pixels and Games For Change.
Our team took 2nd place in 2 out of the 3 categories out of 37 entries! We participated in the "Outgrow hunger" and "Friendslop" categories.
This is also our entry for the G4C student challenge in the "Unity", "Game trailer" and "Digital Game" categories.
(We also got selected as a finalist for the trailer category! Results come out at the end of may 2026!)
Play the game on itch.io or right here!
